Film 3--Rule of Thirds, Lines

I took this photo of my beautiful baby sister Sarah in our backyard.  I loved how the branches framed her face, the lines drawing your eyes to hers.  She was standing behind a tiny tree.

This was the sunrise off my back porch.  The sun was framed between two trees, creating both a center of interest and a rule of thirds and lines.  The branches are the lines, and the sun is about a third up and off to the left.  It was so pretty.

Digital 4- Lines

This bead came off my favorite bracelet.  it happened to land on the placemat at my kitchen table.  i liked how the crisscrosses framed the bead, which created a center of interest.
The moon decided to come out 4 hours too early.  I noticed how the branches all pointed toward the moon, framing it perfectly with strong lines.

Film 1 & 2 Motion, Depth

This leaf was on my porch railing one day.  As I got closer, I noticed the interesting dots on its underside, so I took the shot very close and with hardly any depth.  I believe it turned out nicely.
This is the drive to my favorite place, my barn. I've always loved how there are woods on both sides of the fenced road.  I used a wide aperature and took in lots of depth.

This is my puppy Andy.  This shot is pure luck; I didn't have anything set on my camera, and i jut shot a very quick picture.  I was lucky to get such a great motion shot.
This is my puppy Jasper.  He was walking, and I shot him with a fast shutter speed, fast enough to freeze his body, but not his head.

Digital 3 Rule of Thirds

I took this off my back porch at sunrise.  i framed the sun with the trees and put the focus to the lower left.  I really love the color and nice emotion portrayed in this.  It feels very warm.
This is the steeple to my church.  It was quite cloudy and rainy when i shot this looking up, but i love how it turned out so dramatic and dark.  It looks both forlorn and darkly beautiful.

Digital 1 & 2 Depth and Motion

I shot this ivy on my porch.  I noticed that just a few leaves were poking up through the wood, as if they were reaching for the light.  I like how the line in between the boards lead into the ivy, and how I focused on one perfect leaf more than the other, more ragged ones, giving it a shallow depth.
This is my puppy Henry.  He's a tibetian spaniel-toy poodle mix.  I stood at the base of a hill in my backyard and noticed him sniffing about.  I like how he has his own space, but I dont like how he's centered in the middle, although the tree helps to frame him.  Most of the picture is in focus, making this a greater depth.
This is Henry again, rushing by me to get a treat. I love how his ears are flying back to indicate even more motion, and how he's slightly off center.
This is my dog Andy,  chasing my sister as a game.  I used a very fast shutter speed to catch this, but i dont like how my sister's leg is in the photo.
